Dave,It's possible that an agreement might have already been reached. I'd be willing to bet though, if that's the case, only the Trustee's, Robert Penny & Melvin Simon and the board know about it to avoid another situation similar to what happened with Amati. I spoke to a financial lawyer and he told me the Trustees have the power to vote for the trust, they can make the decision without polling the beneficiaries, & that they have a fiduciary responsibility to act in the best interests of the trust, which I would think would mean voting whatever the board decided was best for themselves & the shareholders. Bottom line, if it's done there might not be any leaks this time. This is the exact situation I was thinking about. Except I know nothing about the legalities.I agree with that, but there's also another way to look at the situation. I'm beginning to think their partnership with Lucent is more than meets the eye. I was really encouraged to see Lucent is marketing the DLSAM. They also seem to be involved in several products that will become available later in the year. When these products hit the street it could be huge for Westell. As long as the MOT/TI chips remain in the factory Westells DSLAM is one valuable piece of equipment for LU. After the chips come out I am still asking myself what happens? Can LU get a cheaper DSLAM somewhere else to do DMT for less money? I just wanted to say one last thing. If Gary S. IS selling, then I think Westell is in the process of being sold. I have this nagging feeling that a pissed off Seamens is trying to devalue the company over a defined time window he already knows about. Keep up the good work Dave - Eric
