I don't agree with freeus comment that women shouldn't have the vote and I understand Barbara's feeling stereotyped by freeus' remark Having read Barbara's past comments, there is no question that she is well versed in Libertarianism. Freeus was just speculating about why there seems to be fewer female libertarians than men and may have gotten a little ahead of herself.

I just think ad hominem attacks are out of line. Smacks of the old saw - "When the law is against you, argue the facts. When the facts are against you, argue the law. But when both are against you, attack the opponent personally with a righteous indignation."

Perhaps Barbara would have been better served by pointing out to Freeus that the fallacy of composition was at work here - characteristics of certain individuals do not taint all members of a group.

Just my take.

Ciao,
Daniel
