Oh no Klaus, don't leave us! I agree, George, the end is near. Loki, no Mr. Bond is not responsible for my absence. I had to pick up my girlfriend fromn the airport. I'm pleased Holland is up 1-0, though that Yugo keeper should have never let it by him. It didn't really have much sting. The Yugos are really packing it in on defense so there isn't all too much room to move. They need more long balls like that. You see what happens when Bergkamp is in the open. The Dutch crosses have not been very good at all, especially that one by Frank De Boer. Once he got past that defender on the line, that play had goal written all over it. Seedorf is playing much better than last time, though I still think Jonk would be a better choice. The coaches must have given Clarence a long talking-to about selfish football, and it seems to be working. Stam and Davids are doing a wonderful job shutting down any possibility of the Yugos counterattacking. I can't say enough about Davids. What a player. I can't think of a single error he has made yet today. His play is just flawless, amazing. I cannot understand how any coach would be so idiotic as to send him home from a European Championship, as Hiddink did in '96. The Dutch need to speed up their passing a bit, and then the goals will come. They need to keep up the pressure the rest of the game. If they do, eventually the Yugos will crack. Just look out for those counters! Here goes the second half. Damn!! Yugo goal! Terrible mistake by Van der Sar - he should have had that near post covered! Well, still here. Whoa!!! What a terrible penalty call!! My God that referee should be lynched! Only too right he missed it! Thank God! That would have been a disaster. What an idiotic move on Bergkamp's part! He could have been red-carded and lost Holland the Cup. Good thing no one saw it. And there, Overmars clotheslined with a clear path to the goal! These referees are ruining a great game. They have been all-around horrendous.
