Did the M2-208 have an Ultra SCSI 2 and the Intel PII-338 and Ultra DMA hard drive? One second is not enough dead time to take a sip of coffee. I remember the old days you could go on a coffee break while waiting for your program to be processed by the OLD Mainframes from IBM. cl >>> The illegal copying from Alpha Technology gave PII lousy performance as I expected. A PII-338 needs full 3 seconds to open Word97 while M2-208 needs 2 seconds only. Did I mention 338Mhz vs 208Mhz?<<<

If you read through some of the examples that "pop up", you will learn that you can use WORD for other purposes besides Opening and Closing. In fact, you will find that you can actually use WORD as a Word Processor - I'll bet that never occurred to you! Paul PS - Some of the other folks on this board may be happy to explain for you what a Word Processor is...and does.
