My take on this whole "floorless" options issue:

Will only hurt current shareholders if HEC does not find the reserves many are expecting (hoping)for. If they do hit some of the numbers that have been tossed around here, it is going to be hard on the shorts.

In summary:

Before the discussion of floorless options, people who were long HEC were going to be hurt by the failure to find oil. Shorts were going to be hurt by success.

After the discussion, what has changed?

If you think HEC is going to find oil, go long. If not, do otherwise.

But isn't that always true with an oil exploration company?

Regards,

Jack
