CD Read Write.

WORM (write once read many) drives are retailing for $399, with disks selling (650mb) for $0.79 in packs of 20.

WMRM (write many read many) disks retail for $16 in packs of 5.

Slow write times, and labeling issues.

I'm just afraid that IOM will diversify away from removable hard disk media.

Already their R&D expenses are not creating new products fast enough.

Now if they want to diversify and split their attention...

I don't know how successful they might be...

You know, HMTT just reported $56mm in revenue vs the expected $80 mm in revenue. Want to know where the other $24mm in revenue went?

I bet you that IOM begged them to hold their disk inventory for Jaz, and HMTT did it.

Sierk owes Shauer a big big big favor for this.

I think this is one of the methods IOM used to renegotiate its covenants.

(ps based upon assumptions, it may only be $15mm in FGI held by HMTT)

Well, my $6 1/8 short was not filled today. If it would have ticked up any more, I may have have been first in line. Maybe not. There might be a lot of short selling going on at this level.

...Because everyone knows IOM is going to report horrible earnings and take a horrendous charge either this Q, or next. Either way, IOM will not have a PE ratio come October and may not have one again for at least 2 years. IOM is going to have report a (-0.20›)+ loss for one of these Quarters.
