Peter,

Thanks for the update. Sounds like good improvements.

Whenever you upgrade the web sites, you usually have problems for awhile. So I hope you don't change everything at once and at least leave some of the old classic sites until the new sites prove themselves reliable.

Also, any chance of adding major indexes to quotes like $INDU, $COMPX, $SPX, and $SOX? This would be very valuable.

Peter, when are Stop Loss orders coming for NYSE/AMEX stocks? You already have them for NASDAQ so what is the holdup???

And, of course, it practically goes without saying,
the ever and ever and long-promised options. Right?

Thanks so much for the update. Looks like real progress.
Any thoughts on when or if stops on listed issues will
be available?

Peter,

There are two quote problems that could be solved by your software.
1. It is a common occurrence that shortly after 4:00 PM ET spread on NYSE stocks widens (bid drops and ask goes up). Your system should freeze quote updates at 4:00 sharp. Note that this problem also affects the account value figures.
2. When a stock is halted, its bid and ask disappear. This causes a value of a long position in that stock to be shown as 0 in the portfolio summary. I don't think you want to cause any heart attacks so you may want to show that stock's value as HALTED or maybe use the last price before halt.

These two problems can possibly cause a false margin call so they aren't just cosmetic.

I am a new Datek customer and have received nothing but the best service and fills to date. Thanks.

However, I noticed that you have delayed your check writing introduction. I applied before the delay was posted. When will I get my checks?

Also, when will you begin offering options trading?

Thirdly, what ever happened to your Island site? Do you plan to offer that service again?

Thanks,

I2

Here it is July 8 and Datek still has NOT posted interest for June. This is ridiculous.

DATEK, POST THE INTEREST IN A TIMELY MANNER, BY THE FIRST OF THE MONTH.

Peter,

Any news on options?

Please let us know if you do not plan on offering options. Thanks.

Mike

Hey, it's me again, having another problem with Datek (if you don't want to read it, just press the "next" key.)

Today
at 10:18 I put in a Sell Stop Market for 5000 EGGS at 26 7/8
at 11:07 EGGS went through that
at 11:17 EGGS were now trading at 26 1/4 and MY ORDER WAS STILL "STOP MARKET - DAY", i.e. still hadn't even been activated.

(just to avoid any misunderstandings: I know if it was activated it wouldn't automatically fill immidiately. The problem was not one of FILLING but one of ACTIVATING.)

How can this happen?

Eventually I cancelled the order, and resubmitted it and eventually got stopped out, not at 26 7/8 but at around 25 1/2. Loss: around $7000.
