Agreed - the future is in 2d/3d integrated cards. At this point I find myself wishing that TDFX would just DROP the VooDoo 3 and instead push the Banshee 2 out by Xmas - with AGP 2x and performance somewhere in-between the VooDoo 2 and what the VooDoo 3 would have been. TDFX has a great lead with world-beating performance in the Banshee and VooDoo 2, now we need ONE part that incorporates the best of both and out-performs everything else. The good news is that I just don't see anybody else out there with the ability to produce a better part in time - nVidea have proven themselves to be inferior, i740 is inferior, TDFX is the clear technology leader here. Now, can they keep the lead? But, it seems clear that the future is VERY LIMITED for 3-D only parts.
