Bellweather techs with a history of consistent earnings like MSFT, CSCO, DELL and possibly LU will continue in an uptrend until they screw up. I've oft posted this basic tenet for many moons during the gyrations of the market. Draw a dot-to-dot thru the congestion zones of these stocks, that's all you need. Everything else is just flux or a local correction. While trading the flux can be lucrative and fun ... always keep your eye on the long-term trend.

LU should not hit a snag until it does a major acquisition, CSCO will go up unless it prewarns or meets with a hostile takever. Only LU is equipped to try a takeover of CSCO but it better hurry. And CSCO is approaching the region for a split.

And the effect of analyst upgrades or downgrades last as long as a fresh bagel stays fresh ... unless there are supporting fundamentals.
