Tomorrow is an important day for the bears. If this baby closes decisively above 100,
then it's uptrend is totally in tact and there is no telling where it will stop.

Jason,

If AMZN closes decisively above 100, I am out of this stock. This has been a terrible adventure.

Glenn

<<Chalk one up for the bulls today, but they shouldn't get complacent. A plunge will almost assuredly occur if AMZN doesn't break 100 soon.>>

I'm going to argue this point just a little...sure it is disconcerting to see no follow thru on the downside....But, not that surprising for a stock with so many detractors and so much gain over so short a time....There will be also some who will want to ride the next bounce to see whether lightning can strike twice....But, I think the volume today, just barely 4M tells the tale....

<<I will close my put position tomorrow ON THE CLOSE if it is clear AMZN is going to break 100. However, if it doesn't, watch out below.>>

Here is betting that you do not close your position tomorrow.....

Wishing you well.

Mike

Internet Search Engines Poised to Become Media Powerhouses

BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 30, 1998--Bob Davis, CEO of Lycos (NASDAQ:LCOS), in an exclusive interview with the Massachusetts Investor's Digest, explains how internet search engines will become dominant media players over the next few years.

In the interview, available in the Digest's July issue, Davis details how Waltham, MA based Lycos is positioning itself to compete with America Online (NYSE:AOL) and Yahoo! (NASDAQ:YHOO), and establish itself as a household media brand.

Davis' predictions of the internet's interactive environment competing with other "static media" have been bolstered in recent weeks by General Electric's (NYSE:GE) investment in CNET (NASDAQ:CNWK), as well as Disney's (NYSE:DIS) acquisition of a stake in Infoseek (NASDAQ:SEEK). In the interview, Davis also notes how he sides with Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT) in their current legal pitting with the FTC regarding browser integration.

The Digest extends famed Boston money manager Peter Lynch's claim that the individual investor can be "one up" on Wall Street professionals by focusing on local companies. By profiling only Massachusetts based, publicly traded companies and initial public offerings, the Digest helps Beantown investors stay current on interesting investment ideas in "their backyard."

The recent issue also profiles "scintillating" Massachusetts software companies Parametric Technology (NASDAQ:PMTC), Aspen Technology (NASDAQ:AZPN), and Progress Software (NASDAQ:PRGS). Parametric, based in Waltham, MA, which produces engineering design software, is now approaching $1 billion in sales, and is the 6th largest independent software company in the world.

Aspen, a Cambridge, MA based chemical engineering software firm, has seen revenues expand six-fold over the last five years. Progess Software in Bedford, MA, a developer of software application tools, recently saw its stock hit a new high with their announcement of record quarterly revenues.

The Massachusetts Investor's Digest maintains an online version of the publication at its website www.massinvestor.com where surfers can view an exclusive online stock profile, as well as register for free copies of coming issues.
