Hi Bill, I think we are approaching a top soon also. The inverted H&S on the OEX is pointing to the 568-576 area and we it 560 intraday today.

I would watch the RUT over the next couple of days to see if small caps confirm this rally. If not and if the McOscillator turns back to negative - beara rules.

Compare this volume indicator to where it was when we broke to new highs in late Jan/early Feb.

Intel came up with some hype news on a new processor and the stock still sold off.

Bill,
IF today is like sept 24 then I would be buying puts!<G>Today my charts looked closer to a correction than 3-4 weeks..but it might just be another bear trap for a small pullback? It is taking more restraint than ever not to buy puts yet.I don't see the internals improving to support any rally to new highs right now. With this China deal going on and the 4th coming up..I am a little reluctant about puts, but may radar is up,fwiw, and I really don't know yet how I will approach this weekend.
Regards,
Barbara
