My favorite "crash" was the first ever MTV New Years party at the Ritz. I'm on TV somewhere if they ever replay it. I was actually invited there by Martha Quinn who came very close to visiting me in Schenectady where I was in school. We had had several phone conversations (those were the days you could just phone the studio) and she kept telling me she'd call me when she went to Troy (or thereabouts) to visit here folks. She never called but we did talk a bit in NYC. Darn. - Jeff P.S. Yes, it was an open bar.
