New $10 Million Partnership Enhances Enterprise Storage Management Solution for Banyan and Other Critical Environments
OCEANPORT, N.J., June 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Continuing to form strategic partnerships with leading technology providers, CommVault Systems, Inc. announced today a joint marketing agreement valued at nearly $10 million, with Banyan Systems Incorporated (Nasdaq: BNYN). Under the terms of the agreement, Banyan will resell CommVault's enterprise storage management solution offering enterprise data protection for backup and recovery of critical data across multivendor environments for its customers.
This partnership provides a new distribution channel for CommVault, in which Banyan's direct sales force will be trained on how to use and resell CommVault's storage management solution to existing and prospective Banyan customers. Dedicating significant resources to this partnership, CommVault will be providing necessary service and training through its services team for jointly deployed implementations.
CommVault's storage management software provides unique and reliable recovery capabilities via a centralized, network-based "lights out" storage management solution for Banyan installations worldwide. Vault98's tightly integrated functionality includes full ARL and international character support, mailbox level recovery for Banyan mail services, direct recovery of patch level for VINES(R) servers, cross server recovery plus migration and support for StreetTalk(R) for Windows NT(R). The combined CommVault/Banyan solution will allow end-users to efficiently and cost-effectively provide protection and security for a variety of network configurations.
Designed to run within heterogeneous networks, CommVault's comprehensive, storage management solution fully integrates with a company's large file servers, databases and multiple mission critical applications. This relationship with Banyan enables customers to use a native Banyan interface to seamlessly operate and manage CommVault's solution to restore critical data at the file, mailbox or server level with all of the unique properties, permissions and metadata associated with the data intact.
