Speaking of buyout: none of the big networkers have shown any interest in FC yet. If the FC SANs really take off they will need to address connectivity issues, especially if it should be possible to connect a SAN directly to the network. Ancor seems to be the only switch vendor with experience on the connectivity side.

Did you see the PR Newswire item this morning? Mr. McGriff sounds like another solid player. "McGriff's career includes ten years at Control Data Corporation and eight years at Quantum Corporation, where he started as a regional sales manager and worked his way up to vice president of Worldwide Sales, leading a sales team from zero to more than $300 million in annual revenues." Well, at least he is starting in familiar territory. <g>

This is one part of the Ancor equation that totally baffles me. Having these apparently high-profile guys join the company tells me that there is a lot of good things going on. The stock price tells me exactly the opposite. Who is right?
