Wednesday Jul 1 1998
June 30, 1998 - Bell Coast Capital Corp. (the "Company")
has completed the first phase of an exploratory drill
program testing widespread gold and silver anomalies on
its 100% optioned Copalquin property in Durango,
Mexico.
Shallow angle diamond core NQ holes totalling 600
meters were drilled over a 2 kilometer area to test
flat-lying near surface quartz breccia zones. This
approach was designed to intercept as many zones as
possible and gather enough data to more accurately locate
holes during the second phase of drilling. The program
was a result of extensive mapping and sampling programs
recently conducted by the Company which identified
strong precious metal geochemical soil anomalies and
confirmed underground values.
The Company splits the drill core of potentially
mineralized zones and stores these and other sections for
future retesting. Diamond drilling was carried out by
Boart Longyear and assaying by Chemex Labs Ltd. of
North Vancouver, B.C.
Three holes were drilled on the El Cometa zone. EC-1
was abandoned after encountering drill problems at 40
meters. EC-2 was drilled with a 45 degree angle and
intersected a mineralized zone at 25 meters vertical depth
with results summarized in the table below.
Microscopic observations of the core reveals fine-grained
disseminated free gold occurring within the fault zone and
within smoky quartz and open fractures in the adjacent
wall rock. El Cometa was originally considered a low
grade bulk tonnage target within flat lying quartz breccia.
The hole intersected 25 meters of quartz breccia overlain
by 15 meters of andesite breccia.
The high grades occur in a vertical fault zone crosscutting
the horizontal low grade quartz breccia. This
interpretation is based on historical work of 80 meters of
drifts, crosscuts and small production stopes observed in
the El Cometa mine. Tunnels follow the flat lying quartz
breccia and raise up on gold and silver enriched vertical
structures.
Underground workings also exist at the Refugio Mine
located 700 meters west of the El Cometa. This mine also
follows a flat lying quartz breccia and then raises up on
crosscutting vertical structures grading in excess 0.3
oz/ton (10 grams/ton).
The El Cometa area lies along a gold and silver
geochemical anomaly which extends to the North and
East for 400 meters. The anomaly is truncated toward the
Refugio mine by a crest of caprock on the ridge.
Geological mapping has identified the flat lying quartz
breccia along the southern edge of the Refugio mine.

Peter Leriche, P.Geo., of Reliance Geological Services

A cutting factor of 35 g/T gold and 500 g/T silver was
used. Mr. Leriche was used solely to calculate weighted
average gold and silver grades over drilled intervals.
The Company intends to test the 700 meter long by 400
meter wide anomalous ridge area between these two
historic mines. Holes will be drilled in an east-west
direction at a 45 degree angle to intercept the vertical fault
zones and gather enough data to establish a concise
geological model. So far, results are indicating that the
predominant mineralized structures occur as a series of
roughly parallel North-South high angle fault zones.
A third hole, EC-3, located 50 meters to the northeast of
EC-1 and drilled south, intersected an average of 0.2 g/ton
over 15 meters within 25 meters of horizontal quartz
breccia. This hole is interpreted to have been drilled
parallel to (along strike) the high-grade mineralized North-
South high angle fault encountered in hole EC-2.
One hole was drilled in the area of the La Soledad mine
but was abandoned at 60 meters before intersecting the
target area due to lost circulation. Three other holes
drilled 2 kms east of the El Cometa zone intersected low
precious metal values.
Given the very favourable results encountered in drill hole
EC-2, the Company will re-commence the drilling
program immediately. An attempt will be made to
establish vertical and horizontal continuity of the El
Cometa zone and determine its relationship with the
previously mined Refugio zone.
