WSJ is reporting that LSI is paying a rich price for new chip features, analyst said. "ITS A PRETTY EXSPENSIVE ACQUISITION" said C.B. Lee analyst with Suthro and Co. One drawback is that Symbios chip manufacturing capacity is probably under utilized amid a global glut of capacity for many types of semiconductors....Mr. Lee noted "they get some good intellectual propriety, but you have to balance that against the fact that they need to keep[chip making facilities} filled..."
