Pretty amazing, that $800 million drop in market cap. Think of how many investors got burned. The only way that S3 can get back in the game is if ATI stumbles, and that doesn't look likely. One or 2 "me-too" chips may just delay the inevitable slide below 5.

Where are the OEM orders for Savage? It is very late.

Also, let me say that I am really, really glad that Marshall got burned with his Race stock. I will never forgive him for hyping S3 and then abandoning it. He finally got what he deserved.

You will all vilify me for saying this but--the Yahoo S3 thread has of late had a lot more info/analysis than this one. Maybe that is because the investors there haven't owned this turkey for so long and have not yet passed into the cynical phase. This SI thread is much more entertaining, though.
