Hold on. Everybody is running scared about the currency instability in Japan and predicting increased manufacturing costs for SNDK as a result. Last time I looked, the USIC plant in Taiwan is still under construction, and SNDK is getting their wafers from foreign (Japanese) manufacturers. Assembly of CF seems to be done primarily in California, although some is done by Mitsui in Japan.

If the value of the yen goes down, doesn't SNDK cost of wafers go down as well? Doesn't manufacturing costs by Mitsui also come down?

Sure, the Japanese market will decline for US produced goods, including SNDK CF.

I can see a reduction in revenues based on Asian problems, but why do people here seem to think that SNDK costs will rise?
