Consider. If I already have a PC, I must either use my current
graphics card and add a V2 or throw away the card and buy TNT. A
new PC I must order with the TNT or else same comparison. If I
bought new PC and wanted V2 but not SLI speed of two V2 my best
choice is to get the PC with a TNT card from the outset.

But if I want a cheaper system, it is clear that I buy the PC with a Banshee card. Or I can take my current PC (PCI probably) and
give it a facelift by throwing away current grahics card and
replacing with Banshee based card.

So TDFX gets low end, and TNT for now gets V2 on new PCs if can get
OEM to ship PC with TNT. Next Banshee card will probably try to
challenge TNT for high end. But I suspect that V2 has already got
most of the market and TNT faces a glut at its introduction. Next
Banshee must be substantially faster to capture market from TNT.
