Still not clear. Do you mean gross margin or gross sales. Also do you know how Barnes & Noble et. al. account for property values. If the own significant real estate holdings that are on the books at cost, there could be significant latent value in these underlying assets. The correct way to do your valuation, given that Amazon has virtually no property, would be to back tangible assets with real value out of your calculation for the bricks & mortar chains. What happens then?
