Gabriel,
Hi!! << It looks like Lawrence Auriana and Hans Utsch -- Kaufmann's managers -- will soon be shopping for a new slogan. Somehow, the "#2 Fund" just doesn't have the same zing. We asked what will become of the ubiquitous advertisements, but the folks at Kaufmann didn't return a call seeking comment>>

I really found their prediction on Dell to be quite arrogant...take a look at the commercial on these guys and they just smell of it...sure they did well for awhile...did their egos do them in?....placing a sell on Dell as their first time prediction?? Heck, who are these guys....so they made some money during the past ten years...I bet they didn't make any where near the % that the majority of this thread did in the last few years...I guess you sending me this recent post is an indication of your memory....I was really offended that these guys placed that downgrade on Dell....obviously they think they are more knowledgeable than those on this thread...<<ggg>>

Best, kemble

Gabriel: Great Post. I have sold all of my mutual funds and invested in high quality growth stocks (like DELL). I decided that I did not want to out-source my decision making to a mutual fund manager.

It is interesting to follow mutual fund money flows since they can impact stock prices. Yet, Janus has outperformed The Kauffman Funds recently. I recall that an IBD summary stated that Janus was one of the largest holders of DELL stock..hmmm...I wonder if this significant position (that they added to recently) has had much to do with the leading performance of some of their Janus funds??

Anyone still have the link to that IBD article on the big funds investing in DELL? I'm quite sure it came out in the last 2 weeks.

The "Big Money" and the "Smart Money" still likes DELL and for good reasons.
