Seems like a good announcement for Cirrus. I'd think it has a definite impact on the price.

Also look at the action in ARM since the announcement (ARMHY) up $5 today again. This looks sort of like a Rambus of DSP. Maybe ARM is the big play?

Sure have felt dumb not buying into Rambus. I have just been sidelined watching it go up and up. They are establishing a major position in the future of DRAM. Being that they will gain most from license fees, I have not understood exactly how to gage their future.

Again, if ARM's architecture can achieve the same position in DSP market (projected 40 to 50% growth), this is going to be huge. The example of what they say they can do for disk drives is a very big statement. Question is do they offer something so special that TI and SGS Thompson or ADI can't provide without ARM technology?

Regards,

Mark

PS Regarding APM, I have heard that they have the most formidable HSA program. Can it be that at some point, they would be a valuable buy when the price is low enough to discount the head operation?

There -is- a God. <g>

Somebody or something is foolishly giving me a chance to establish some good positions that I missed out on the first time.
