BTW, I would like to believe you, but I need a few questions to
be answered.

(1) You claim that your friend Val works in telephone industry.
Does he, really? How come he doesn't have a clue on IP
telephony gateways and what they do? How come he refuses to
read and learn? How come he comes back and posts the same
gibberish messages over and over again?
What do you need to know. What can I learn from the hype here? I guess the hype here isn't gibberish? "BUY BUY BUY - HEADFAKE - MM MANIPULATION"

Claim something I can believe.
You don't seem to have any problems believing DGIV's press releases - get some details man

(2) Did you ever call Digitcom and inquire what they do and
what they plan to do? Did you follow up on their press
releases and inquire? How much do you know about Digitcom?

Why would DGIV put out such obscure press releases - that it would require any follow up. If they're concerned about the stockholder they would be a little more specific. It really wouldn't take much more information, and perhaps some financial info to get rid of the naysayers.

Tell me everything you know.
What is important here is what you I don't know about Digitcom.

Knowledge is power and you have nothing of it. How am I to
believe you?
Would you care to share some knowledge with me?

Val knows about IP telephone gateways -- a sister company of ours was involved in that field. I read a few of Val's old posts on the subject, out of curiousity. I would make two points:

(1) This is a very competive industry. When I was at the Internet World trade show in LA in March, there were scores of companies trying to push IP telephony. Your buddies at DGIV didn't even bother to have a booth there. (See events.internet.com

(2) The big challenge is going to be connecting IP telephony systems to the PSTN (public switched telephone network). There are a number of products that allow you to talk over the Internet -- a friend of mine talks to his relatives in Pakistan that way. The real trick is going to be being able to call from a PC to a regular phone. I think this was pointed out in the Red Herring article that DGIV mentions on their Web site, redherring.com .

Interestingly, the article takes a rather dim view of IP telephony at present. So, tell us which ITU-T telephony standards DGIV is compliant with, so that they can connect to the PSTN?
