John,
I believe I heard you on the CC; at least it was someone with that name. At any rate, I found the call thrilling. Although Lev wouldn't commit to time frames, he was optimistic, open, frank, and optimistic in every area. The big if remaining, it seems, is only one thing: how well and how long it will take the OEM'a to respond to what they are being sent, and in the meantime Valence is already exploring other markets, viz. heart fibrilulators, and other possible battery penetrations. I found the call extremely upbeat and extremely realistic, a new Lev Dawson. Dave Archbald also. Also, the Alliant co-venture is going extremely well. They have 10 mil on hand, and another two just came in while he was on line, a rebate from the insurance company on policies. While I can't remember every question, I can tell you every question was answered sensibly and without spin. He's one hell of a CEO, and IMHO we're going to to be in for a great ride, a la Wolanchuk, by the end of the year. And the Co. is now making plans to let brokers, finance people, etc., visit not only H but NI too. Hang in there, we've got a good one.

John: You did good, John. Thanks for jumping in w/your very concise questioning...Lev's closing remark of being "very optimistic" , in particular, is reassuring. I guess it's hurry up & wait, as usual, but there is very definitely light at the end of the tunnel...& just who is Mark Visnic...?
Regards, Dennis

I wasn't gonna, then I just did call into the conference call about 35 min. past the hour. Heard you, John Curtis. I'll just add a little comment that I noted:

* Hanil expects production early next year. Samples from Henderson are going to potential Korean customers now.

* Lev says he is "quite happy" with the "goo" problem resolution and noted that he wished he hadn't used the term.

* It's reasonable to expect volume production by Sept. from NI, however they've slipped about a week with their schedule there and that the readiness of the customers is the most important timing.

* The Alliant J. V. is going well. They are supplying laminates to them. He can't speak for the J. V., but their are multiple and interesting uses - underwater vehicles, wearable vests. Also, Valence can make aircraft batteries according to their GM agreement.

* Valence is being conservative with their specs right now. An example is a 4"x4" battery that is spec sheeted at 3 amp/hours which actually is providing 3.5 amp/hours. They aren't publishing the greater capacity until it tests out over enough time.

* They've been too busy for arranging tours. They intend to work with analysts who will then disseminate to investors. [ala Don Wolanchuk?]

* Delphi isn't going to be pulling any critical equipment away from Henderson as they vacate.

* A preferred stock offering would be dilutive, but the amount should be acceptable.

* Cash burn has been $24 million the past year but he won't speculate on the rate for the future.
