Michael, I know of a couple of firms that offer 10x buying power. That's a double edge sword because you can lose everything much quicker, but it gives you the buying power you need.

Also I think a good reason to start with more equity is that it gives you a better chance to succeed. When you go through the learning curve you don't get wiped out.

p.s. keep on making the same mistakes and the learning curve can last a long time and burn through as much equity as you can come up with.
