Yes Christine you are right. SOMETIMES laws are necessary and good. But I believe of the MILLIONS of municipal, state and federal laws on the books most are unnecessary, may more are redundant, still more are non-objective (which is deadly) and some are outright ILLEGAL!!

In addition to that, if the U.S. CONSTITUTION were just applied uniformly to ALL individual Americans, there would have been no need for any Civil Rights Acts, nor for all the permutations that homosexual men and women find themselves caught up in just to get their basic rights.

This is where the country has failed, IMO, since the early days of the Revolution.

As far as secession goes, we may see a few Western states secede (and possibly Alaska and Texas as well) if the federal government continues its 90-year trend of limiting liberty, creating laws which create political prisoners, trying to rob from the wealth creators to give to the wealth destroyers and attempting on a regular basis to legislate individual morality.
