Bloomberg: BN 7/1 Sun Microsystems to Cut 200 Jobs in Restructuring, Paper Says

Palo Alto, California, July 1 (Bloomberg) -- Sun
Microsystems Inc. will cut about 200 jobs, or less than 1 percent
of its workforce, as part of its company-wide reorganization that
takes effect today, the Wall Street Journal reported. Employees
affected by the cuts were notified on Tuesday and told they could
apply for jobs in other parts of the company, which makes
workstations and large computers called servers that run
corporate networks, the paper said.

Sun said in April it would eliminate its individual
operating companies and reorganize them into business units.
