I've heard about the course offered at EliteTrader. Would this course be helpful if I was looking at position trading more than day trading?

All,I'm new to the TA analysis field as well. I've read about Ken Wolf's on-line trading course and was wondering if anyone has any knowledge about it, or how it compares to others.
A professor I know recommended Meta Stock trading software as well as the complementing book "Technical Analysis from A to Z" by Steven B. Achelis. Does anyone have any input on any of this material?
