Why the huge volume on BSC?

Being added to the S&P 500. Interestingly, BSC execs were selling 3.1 million shares today to take advantage of the index fund demand. Reported this morning on CNBC.

Bonnie, RE BSC

Could it possibly be that the Big Boys were playing with this one so they could get their Index shares at a cheaper price? My observation was that many financial stocks were weak today as folks were hedging their bets against the fed announcement.

As Bob mentioned, CNBC was carrying on all day about the 3 million shares of insider shares to be sold at the market close. They also reported 8 million shares to be bought by the Index funds at the close. The market seemed to play on the sales and ignore the pending purchases.

I got a very big position in BSC at the close. We'll see what tomorrow brings -- the lady or the tiger.
