Window dressers would not have waited until 3:30 to start buying. I wouldn't be surprised if there's some news forthcoming that the public hasn't heard yet.

Also, don't forget the annual meeting is just a couple of weeks away. I haven't done research on MFS Communications' stock price before it was acquired by WorldCom, but it is my understanding that MFS management (see LVLT management) liked keeping the stock in the $30/share range through timely splits. Perhaps a split is in the offing?

I really don't know. This is all speculation.

All I know is that I sold my shares and used all the proceeds buy Dec 99 $45 calls when the stock was at $48. At this rate, December is a long way away.
