David: The only problem with pulling the plug right now is that there isn't much water left in the sink! Too much effort is needed now to pull the plug for the small amount remaining. I just phone the Green Line to find out the daily evaporation rate. :(

David I must tell you that I appreciate your candor. Anyone who can admit to being incompetent, is less likely to be incompetent than others who won't.

I realize that you must think "here we go again, another cry-baby investor who lost his shirt!!" Well I am happy to say that this is not the case. I sold the major portion of my holdings of MGR sometime ago, after Bre-X surfaced. I have friends with a few hundred thousand shares who are hemoraging to death, slowly. I find the situation with MGR to be very sad at best, with little hope of any real future.

I guess what I'm trying to get across is the fact that I have come to the realization that Mr. Webb is not the kind of material necessary to inspire enough confidence in this company, and its stock, to make a difference. At some point MGR will run out of rubes willing to lend it money and it will sink as gracefully as the Titanic.

Think of this situation as if you were a bank manager and was going to lend the money you were responsible for. You meet your first client and they tell you that "you can expect me to repay the loan next month." Next month comes and guess what!! nothing happens. You track the person down and they say "I got a flat tire & you can expect me to repay the loan next month." So you go back to your office and wait until next month. Next month comes, and guess what happens.....that's right nothing again!! You track that person down again and they "I got lost in traffic & you can expect me to repay the loan next month." Next month comes again and guess what..... So at what point does the bank go to the person's house to get the money back??? The bank also goes to the credit department and tells them "don't lend any money to that idiot because he just talks about repaying us our money back & never really does anything."

If you have a company on the other side of the earth, with it's success critically hanging in the balance. Would you be jetting between Mongolia & North America as frequently as possible so that you could be collecting those nice consulting fees(& air miles) for GMD, Alberta Star, and any other company willing to pay you big bucks; or would you drop all that and make sure that the interests of MGR shareholders are being looked after(by staying there and ensuring it was successful)? I feel confident in saying that MAC would not be bailing out of this project if was such a big winner.

I know Mr. Webb did not get hurt to the same degree as a number of the regular people that are on this thread. My only other question is which company do you think he will put most of his effort into saving? One is close to home, got millions of proven ounces of gold and the potential for an excellent diamond property. The other is wasteing away, not for lack of attention I'm sure, shut down on the other side of the world with very little proven, and even less hope. I suspect that Dave is just left holding the bag, and I'm sure he wishes that he was down sunning himself on the beaches of Australia like the Chairman of MGR.

Nice talking with you David.
