John- The reason you've mentioned why CPQ is getting out of the PCB business is ludicrous......I was in that business for 15 years and believe me, CPQ has just doubled their unit costs by sub-contracting out their boards. So they will replace all of their automation with human labor and focus on the most labor intensive aspect of manufacturing....box assembly. That's the shit they should be subbing out! And all because they need the building? Hell what they make in a day buys them another building. Compaq has had its head so far up their own ass for so long..... I'm beginning to think they prefer it there. Rick

P.S. I know you're just the messenger...this isn't aimed at you of course.

John -
I don't know the answer to this but I would suspect that there is a Digital PCB fab somewhere in the mix of assets which has lower costs than the Houston facility. I would think that CPQ is not looking to add costs at this time. Does anyone have information that says the PCB fab will be outsourced?
