All,

Perhaps it was actually a blessing in disguise that these handset problems cropped up sooner rather than later. These snafus will probably focus Q attention on all of the design issues which are not directly related to the radio technology, things which are nonetheless important even if not so interesting and glamorous. STAR TAC is the obvious example, a beautiful phone regardless of it's innards.

Dave

"...It should be fun for a change."

Ah... to have fun being a QCOM shareholder. Been a LONG time coming. I EAGERLY await infrastructure and partnership announcements (Mexico) next week.

Thanks for additional clarification. Re dual cellular phone vs single PCS phone, Sony is advertising a dual use phone for cellular on the Sprint PCS home page - with the note BTW "not available". But this non tech is confused. How can a cellular 800 phone be of use by Sprint PCS? Thought Sprint PCS is 1900 only. Any help appreciated since not sure whether to go with cellular 800 dual use or wait for 1900 PCS single use. Chaz

Gregg, what is beginning to concern me the most about Q is their question of credibility. Twice this year Q has been less than forthcoming. You know in the Street three times and you are out.I think the valuation in Q now reflects this.
always appreciate your posts. Thank you. LZ
