Paul,
Wondering if you had any thoughts on SQNT now? Do you think others like CPQ and HP might be looking harder at them now?

thanks,
pigboy

Paul (or others),

Kurlak's fickleness has always bothered me. Does anyone remember how he amped up the semi market with accolades in July or August 1997 and then did a complete reversal of opinion 2-3 weeks later. (I got totally whipsawed in ALSC on that one).

My question to you INTC pros (I've traded INTC before, but not right now) is: How much of Kurlak's prognosis about the semiconductor market is likely to be true? I'm so suspicious of analysts these days that I don't trust their motives (just as others have said here earlier today).

Has anybody heard from reliable sources (outside of these threads) that Kurlak has lost credibility in the investment community? I recently read (maybe 2 weeks ago) an article in SmartMoney Mag Online in which he was quoted as saying Internet broadband chipsets will be an important growth engine for the semi industry. He certainly does attract a lot of press coverage whether or not he is correct.
