Kash - Re: "Do you have a feel for the Flash business and how it's going."

No - but ATMEL deals a lot with the Cellular Phone/Mobile Comunications segment - real low voltage stuff, including their FLASH products.

This market may be taking its toll on Atmel due to the S.E. Asia pull backs, etc.

Kash & Intel Investors - Here's a nice piece of Server and CLient/PC business for Intel.

A few more orders like this - for groups of 1000 Pentium IIs for servers and 15,000 Pentiums for clients - and Intel may have a good second half of this year.

M2 PRESSWIRE-29 June 1998-SIEMENS NIXDORF: Major new order for Siemens Nixdorf --
Commerzbank to migrate to Windows NT (C)1994-98 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

Commerzbank AG, one of the largest privately-owned commercial banks in Germany, has commissioned Siemens Nixdorf to install Windows NT servers and NT clients at around 1,000 of its branch offices in
Germany. The order will include the shipment of 1,100 Intel-based high-end PRIMERGY 470 and 760 servers, 15,000 SCENIC Pro PCs, 10,000 flatscreen monitors and a complete set of Microsoft system and
application software.

Over the next two years, Commerzbank will be investing hundreds of millions of marks in a complete refit of its branch office environment. This new, large order underscores the strategic partnership that exists between Commerzbank and Siemens Nixdorf.

Commerzbank expects to reap dramatic increases in efficiency from its new IT infrastructure, with a focus on network computing. "The NT standard offers uniformity across operating system, applications, development environment and on-screen presentation like no other," says Dr. Konrad Rntgen, Executive Vice President
and Head of IT at Commerzbank. "A crucial factor in our decision was the close co-operation between Siemens Nixdorf and Microsoft, which we consider is essential for this project."

Commerzbank also believes that the move to NT will add further considerable improvements to what is already a very high calibre of customer consulting: customer consultants will have all the relevant data available at their fingertips in the local branch offices. Two additional arguments influenced the decision in
favour of Siemens Nixdorf: "One is Siemens Nixdorf's excellent reputation for solutions competence; but the fact that it offered the best cost/benefit ratio also played a key role," explains Peter Kraemer, Senior Vice President and Responsible for IT production at Commerzbank AG.

System roll-out is scheduled to begin in August 1998. The full range of new equipment is to be installed at Commerzbank by May 1999.

With over 28,700 employees worldwide, 1,044 branch offices and total assets of DM 516 billion, Commerzbank is one of the largest privately-owned commercial banks in Germany. The bank fully intends to
remain well represented as a key player with selected areas of core competence in all the major international markets in the future.

Siemens Nixdorf is Europe's leading supplier of information technology with an annual turnover of DM15.4 billion. The company supplies market-leading products, solutions and services that provide competitive advantage for its expanding customer base, and has gained a leadership position in a number of key technologies, including PCs, servers, PoS systems and self-service devices. Siemens Nixdorf's User
Centred Computing approach focuses on individual customer needs rather than short-term technology issues, and has helped the company to achieve particular success in the UK Retail, Finance, Manufacturing
and Government sectors.
