Greetings,,,

A wonderful lady, (Carol) mentioned you to me a while back and said you'd be good for the conversation. Happy to finially make your acquaintance.

The Gita is to me much the same as it appears to you. But as you so frankly put it, in our modern days, it seldom is read, much less understood.

I was introduced to the whole Hindu thing several years ago when I read the book Autobiography of a yogi. Written by Pramahansa Yogananda. I wasn't ready for it, but I couldn't ignore it either.

Any more in my developed life, it tends to come and go. I am a member of SRF, but admittingly not always an obedient one. SRF, which was founded by Yogananda published a beautiful two volume hard cover edition of his translation and commentery.

Words shall say no more tonight about how much this has changed me. I'm glad I got an introduction to it all this time around, might be just a bit closer in my next one.

If you're unfamilliar with S.F.R. you might want to just take a peek at it FWIW. yogananda-srf.org

I hope you enjoy, and thanks for letting me know I'm not totally alone here. Goodnight. August.
