Bill, be sure to take a look at the advance decline line trendline, which was pierced to the upside yesterday and the TC2000 common stock version as well, which pierced the day before.

Bill,
Pleeeaaaassssseee.NOT expiry week! :( If that's what the ROC indicator says lets look at another one or two.Complaceny has been built into this market for a very long time. That's why "little" things in Iraq and around the world don't even make it flinch.2/3 of companies preanouncements were negative; earnings revisions are lower; overvaluations...blah,blah,blah.AND nada effects the market.I am finally getting that "this is ridiculous" gut feeling as I had late last sept.when I bought oex puts.I do not know how much longer I can restrain from buying at least a couple puts just for the heck of it.
I see nothing that has changed the buy the dip mentality yet except perhaps the slow down in trading at the smaller houses like shwab and Q&R and olde.June's volume has been way off the norm for the little guys. But here we go again with this market wanting to go higher when I just said the other day I didn't think it knew what it wanted to do.
One thing I thought might occur would be the eventual collapse of some of these internet fliers...but then that just might continue that "flight to safety" thingy (now that's sounding like some sort of oxymoron)!
One thing though,I have not scheduled anything over the next two weeks while the market is open...this show is one I don't want to miss!
Please keep me posted and I hope you get a different time frame for the BK.We could still make a little money, but not much.

Regards,
Barbara

Bill, speaking of that collapse before the close yesterday, how did we manage 751 million shares on the NYSE? Didn't seem like that kind of day and I didn't even notice it until I was watching Peter Jennings last night. Pretty strong volume for a day of failed rallies, eh? Could it really have been some quarter end phenomenon or does it tell you anything about the technical picture?
