Henry,

I think you nailed it. The US Baboos
are thumping the equity market hard
with their bucks in order to make up
for lost time. There really is no
other explanation for the DOW being
over 9000 today. It should be at
about 3-4000 with a P/E of perhaps
10-12. Oh well. One day we will
learn that bidding markets do not make
hard assets.

Henry I think realestate wise age is more apt to be in the mid thirties up where i live . The tax code has improved the conditions for realestate by the 200 thousand deductible every 2 years. This might prove advantageous versus equities.

It almost seems like the saving rate being so small relates to the fact there are many lower income folk that are spending all they have to live.

Boomers not at all satisfied with 5 some odd percent. Nor are those that are in the top tier income wise. Rich poor being clearly defined perhaps in savings figures.
