You are correct. I did neglect to mention Taiwan (I was thinking of MU since it recently announced that it would begin selectively upgrading production facilities). And no, I don't feel "sorry" for the south koreans. They have been playing the subsidy game for awhile now and it was just a matter of time before that house of cards fell (although I am sure the IMF has not been able to completely stop the subsidy game). I think the Taiwanese have indeed a good chance of emerging from all of this as the premier players in the DRAM market. On reflection, I don't think MU is in the same league (financial health) as some of the Taiwanese manufacturers.
