Here's a company that in 1/98 announced a stock buyback of up to 5 million shares. Real fiscally sound idea with soft sales.

Then in 2/98 announced the acquisition of a unit of Temic for $140 million in cash. Hmmm are they growing this money on trees?!

Finally in 6/98 announces another acquisition of DCT and then like 8 days later says, oh by the way, we are cutting 650 jobs (10% of their workforce!) due to continued weakness in the semiconductor market and will take a $70 million dollar charge for restructuring. Let's get real here!!

TO ALL: From where I sit, this looks to me like an excellent opportunity to pick up a good company on the cheap. That is, providing you have a long range horizon. JDN
