Micky is a percussionist. The baby catfish are
the size of a 1/2 drop of water with a 1/8" tail.
Can't tell how many there are because they get
lost in the gravel. Next time, no gravel. Until
the fish breed once you usually use gravel to keep them
happy. However, once they discover the joys of sex
they no longer care about gravel. Here's somrthing
a little strange. To attach tanks to a central filter
there has to be a hole drilled through the tank, usually
1 3/4". PVC fiittings go through the hole. A good ten gal
tank is about $10. It's $20 just to drill the hole so the the
hole cost more than the tank. I've bought enough tanks though
and they want my fish bad enough that I'm now getting the holes
for $15. The equipment to drill holes your self is about
$250. I thought about buying it but didn't because small tanks
are hard to drill. It's very easy to crack them. You don't
want to learn how to use the equipment on a small tank. You'd
probably crack quite a few before mastering it. Also, you gotta go
slow on small tanks. Drilling 20 tanks is at least 6 hours work
unless you have much more expensive equipment. The 10 gals get
ordered drill, the 15s the store does themselves. I did crack
3 tanks setting up my system. With larger tanks you can slide
them a 1/4" if you need to. I learned the hard way this can't be
done with small tanks.
