I shorted PTVL at $28 about 2 months ago, after which it declined to $24 but is now back up to $32 or so, presumably upon the internet mania.

My thinking is that PTVL is AMZN's little brother, and will more or less follow AMZN, but with less run-up and an earlier fall-off.

PTVL is probably more susceptible to competition than AMZN, as there are lots of large travel agencies out there, the airlines keep cutting commissions and I can think of hardly a single barrier to entry.

One can simply look at the competition among traditional travel agencies to have a glimpse at PTVL's future.

Great long term short - dangerous short-term, IMO.

Best to all, Peter

P.S. Take a look at my post over here if you'd like to see more weird hype - AGAIN!
