Dear J. Garcia: have you looked at the semi's lately?? Everyone is down cause their markets stink. Competition fierce, prices dropping etc etc. This comes in cycles in this business. Hopefully this one will end next year. At the moment it just seems to me that incredible returns are possible at these prices. For example assume ATML doubles in:
2 yrs 50% simple annual gain
3 yrs 33% simple annual gain
4 yrs 25% simple annual gain
Is there ANYONE on this thread who doesnt think ATML will at least double within 4 years?? Heck, I can remember when everyone thought it would go to 60!
The point I am making is this: BUY LOW, SELL HIGH. Most investors seem to like to buy high and sell higher but a lot end up buying high and selling lower.
Secondary point is this: Any of the above examples I put up there would beat nearly any mutual fund. I dont mean for everyone to invest everything in one stock but there are a lot more companies like ATML out there that have similar characteristics and if bought now (low) and held will give you handsome returns when all this is over with. Just my humble opinion. JDN
