To be fair, you can scale Xeon beyond 2 processors. They've solved the bug in the chip set that limited them to 2. That takes them up to 4 and maybe 8, if they could find a power supply, cooling system big enough. - Chung >>> you cant cluster Xeon's beyond 2 processors - you can give it any name you want but weve seen this chip before - its called IA-32, aka x86. When is Merced coming out - 2000 and what? When is NT going to be enterprise ready to take advantage of these non-existant systems? - there is a strong chance that NT 5.0 will not come out at all in 1999 at all since their beta program has been seriously delayed. Is NT 5.0 64 bit - no. Its 4.0 just 3x larger to patch all the bugs. Where will Sun be in 2 years? <<<
