Well, anything is possible. This is one of those times when I wish I had a crystal ball. Let's keep the rally going - go Mylex, go!

Either a buyout, or the OEMs are coming back. Here is what I know: My contacts in storage are saying that

(1) ExtremeRAID is HOT, much
faster than AMI, Compaq or ADPTs product
(2) AcceleRAID is well positioned for the volume RAID marketplace.
(3) The OEMs may be coming back.

This is what I know, but its a long way $25.

Lets get as much data on this puppy, my sense is that its starting to turn.

Later,

Dougerdad

Eric, since we were contemplating the potential of a freindly takeover by Adaptec, I thought you might be interested in the following which was released after the market closed today.

Thursday Evening Update: Adaptec to Take Acquisition Charge

By Heather Moore
Staff Reporter

Adaptec (ADPT:Nasdaq) said it expects to record first-quarter acquisition charges of 55 cents to 60 cents per share. The eight-analyst First Call estimate calls for operating earnings of 16 cents compared with the year-ago 51 cents. The stock reportedly was down to 13 13/16 from a close of 14 in after-hours trading (which generally is rather thin, and is likely more so ahead of the holiday weekend).
