The "real" number is one--the information is freely available through the freedom of information act--if more deaths occured since then we have not yet been informed. I know that elderly men will die while having sex regardless if they are just having sex or are taking MUSE or Viagra. The point is that Viagra is a systemic drug and MUSE acts locally. Also the substance in MUSE is already produced naturally by the body where as Viagra is not an endogenous chemical. I think that Viagra is fine with otherwise healthy men who want a boost or who have psychogenic ED. But when it comes to men with underlying health problems (especially those on high blood pressure meds) I strongly question Viagra's safety. The jury is also still out on the retinal effects.
