That's why they call it Weird Wednesday. By mid-August, it should be pretty clear whether the economy really is slowing. If it's still not clear then, or if growth continues strong, the bubble they are afraid of will only be bigger and more dangerous. This latest round of "bid everything up 10-20-30% or more 'cause it might be the next to split", with these runs on top of already ridiculous valuations, should remove any doubt among rational observers that this is a genuine mania. There's really nothing AG and the FOMC can do now to avoid going down in history for their inaction. BWDIK? Bob
