The yearning and desire to create individually through freedom to achieve great things. I submit, the desire everyone inately is born with and one of the foundations that makes our country so unique, diverse, productive, efficient, and the envy of the world. For these freedoms and opportunities, I owe you no apology. The difference is astronomical, Im sorry you see it so negatively. In my opinion, you provide a great disservice to all generations before you who sacrificed for you to have these great privileges and opportunities, only to be denegrated upon. I for one, am eternally grateful and would love to see all people in this world afforded these same principles. You are a poet, I can tell, but your statement was a general one, open to interpretation. One man's glory is another man's chains. My favorite part is the bold statement. Philosophers like Rousseau, Locke, Machievelli, and Hobbes have argued over what "human spirit" is for decades, and somehow you're able to define it. You've defined it for yourself, and I have no problems with that. You seem quick to judge what I have defined for myself, also, which I have no problem with(although you're completely off). But is a communist nation any more wrong to define what they can do for themselves? You state that you're into freedom of choice and speech, and yet frown upon actions by the Chinese government which take away human rights willingly by the people. If it is not willingly, then explain why an overthrow has not taken place. I am not in agreement with the Chinese government and their policies, but to cut off trade with them because I don't, in short, "like their face?" Matty Gregg
