The company has in-house tests that will quickly assess durability. These tests are more relevant for architectural glass than for eyewear. They purchased a Weather-O-Meter last year. Testing on a Weather-O-Meter should take no more than a month to determine 20+ years of durability. Also, they've developed some internal tests for UV stability which gives them preliminary litmus test type results in a few hours, so they are in a position to predict with some degree of confidence whether a particular particle will be very durable and pass the extended weathering tests.

Contact Joe Harary. His email address is available on the REFR web site at refr-spd.com

The tests appear to be a forgone conclusion from what we have heard from our licensees. Some of us on this board have kept in contact with those making the film and they are confident. In less than 90 days industrial size quantities of SPD solution will go to licensees. They will do runs that will go to Alpha and Beta customers.
Then product runs will follow. Product will be out in less than 12 months.

Hope this helps
