Tippet, Paul Warburg who played a critical role in lobbying for the creation of the Federal Reserve said "... People who express fear that increase in the Federal reserve Bank's rediscount rate might hurt business overlook the far greater hurt the country will have to suffer if their advice to permit the situation " to work itself out" were followed. I have said this for a long time so it was nice to see JKG say it . Greenspan(and his bosses?) has blown it there is not way to avoid the tough love which is in store for the world IMO. I have posted this link many times but for those who have not read it see what AG had to say about Fed policy in the 20's fame.org Mike
